I took the CLEP Western Civ II test today and got a 55. I’m disappointed with this score but am at least glad I got the credit. Since I’m homeschooled, I was planning on using this CLEP to make my world history course like an honors class. However, can it still be considered an honors class even if my score was low (at like a B-level according to this one page?)

First of all, the college/university you eventually attend will be the one to decide if your score is considered a passing score. ACE suggests 50 as a passing score, but each school has the right to adjust this. The school will also determine whether this exam equates to one of their courses (which would mean you already have credit for it, fulfill the requirement) or whether this will just be considered general elective credit. I do not believe any of the CLEP exams are considered equivalent to honors classes because there are no honors classes in college.
