Cliburn Competition starts tomorrow

Just a reminder to all piano lovers - you can catch all of the performances on [Welcome to the Cliburn Competition Webcast](http://www.cliburn.tv).

The schedule is posted on the website - most performances will be at 1 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. central time. I believe three U.S. pianists are playing tomorrow (just the luck of the draw!)

Thanks for posting this!

Thank you!!

The link that popped up when I posted this shows an error. You can access the live streaming by going to cliburn.tv or just by going to cliburn.org. I was reading the bios and there’s a truly inspiring 20 year old pianist from Japan. He is blind from birth and has made it to the Cliburn. What an amazing young man.

Can’t wait - thanks! There is an amazing blind pianist at IU also. I can’t remember his name, but he’s still very young.

Thanks so much, S and I will enjoy!

I have really been enjoying it so far - fantastic talent out there.

The 20 year old blind pianist from Japan is playing tonight (Sat.) - he’s first on at 7:30 CDT. He is playing 12 Etudes, Op. 10 by Chopin, Debussy Preludes Bk. 1 and Lizst “La Campanella.” Should be just amazing and inspiring.

If anyone is having trouble accessing either cliburn.tv or cliburn.org, use Mozilla Firefox instead of IE. When I try IE, I get an error message. But Mozilla works just fine.

One more nice thing - they are archiving all of the performances for on-demand viewing. So if you miss the live performance, no problem. You can catch it at any time!

just correcting my mistake. He’s playing Debussy Images Bk. 1, not Preludes.

Just watched him a little while ago- absolutely incredible! Can’t even begin to imagine learning music of that level without being able to see it! Thanks for posting the info, Vmom! BTW, worked fine on Safari if there are any Mac users out there.
