<p>Ok, so will anyone try chancing me? Thank you in advance.</p>

<p>EC’s
-German Club 9-12 (have been secretary, Vice and Pres)-heavily involved. We have an active ongoing exchange program with a school in Hamburg, do a lot of fundraisers (cabaret’s, car washes, German candy sales), and at the end of every year put on a mini-play at a dinner along with every other language club. We do more, just can’t write it all.
-Track and Field (both indoor and outdoor seasons) 9-12.
There’s no clear distinction between varsity/jv but our team is pretty good.
-Nature center volunteer 9-12. Over 300 hours. Go there very often (although this summer I had to temporarily stop for scheduling conflicts-will resume next year)
-Honors String ensemble 11-12. I play Viola. This is a small string group made up of the best 25 string players in our school orchestra (which I have been involved with all four years) and we play all over our community. We’ve played at rehab centers, senior homes, book stores, private club, etc. (I’ve also participated in an Area-all state orchestra (very hard to get into) Hopefully I’ll get in next year too)
-I don’t know what to call this next one. But I take Japanese classes after school but after my own lesson I am a teaching assistant to my Japanese teacher and help with 2 of her other classes. I’ve also passed level 3 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test, for those who might know what it is.
-Model United Nations Club. 11-12. Not too heavily involved (yet) in this club. This is simply because our schools MUN was only founded this year and so its too young to have much going for it. </p>
<p>Work:
-cashier at diner where my dad works
-Lifeguard at a lake (requires extra certifications) </p>
<p>Summers:
Last year-applied to the experiment in international living and got in. I was able to go to Japan for a month as part of a group. This included a home stay.
This year-(lifeguarding-same as previously stated) </p>
<p>My teacher recs should be fantastic since I know my two teachers extremely well. My guidance counselor said she’d write me an especially good rec because she looks very favorably on lifeguards. </p>
<p>My essays should be on par with everything else as well. </p>
<p>These are the schools I’m looking at:
Stanford
Brown
Yale
Boston College
Tufts
Vassar
Swarthmore
(I have safeties too, don’t worry)</p>
<p>Ps-does anything seem lacking? How are my ec’s relatively to other apps to these schools?</p>
