Cliff's AP Lang question...

“Only a few times in my life have I seen such a majestic and beautiful spectacle as I did then…”

The intended rhetorical effect of the quotation is…

to emphasize that this fantastic spectacle is unprecedented in human history.

I thought that answer choice was incorrect because the word “unprecedented” literally means “never before known or experienced.” However, in the quote, the speaker says, “only a few times…,” which means the fantastic spectacle HAS been seen before.

(If anyone has the Cliff’s AP Lang book, this is question 46 on page 131.)

I think it doesn’t really matter how many practice tests you take in lang. You’re destined to get the score you got on your first practice test because improving on the m.c. section is a very long and hard process, something that can’t be improved on in just a couple of months
