Does helping out with autistic children in a neuropsychiatric hospital count as clinical exposure? What about helping with clinical trials for people with depression, insomnia, and other neurological problems?

There’s patient contact, but does it count?

“The Early Childhood Partial Hospitalization Program at the Neuropsychiatric hospital is a short-term integrated day treatment program for young children with autism, developmental disabilities and behavior disorders.”

It seems I may be involved in helping to teach the kids. I may not have a lot of contact with the PhD and MD staff though.

What would be the criteria for clinical exposure?

Exposure close enough where “you can smell the patients” is how it has been described before (by a credible source). I don’t think there are actual official requirements for it to be considered, it’s more of a judgment call.
