And the plot get thickens.
Remember that one of their plans is to kill Joyce’s husband? A typical “fighting/jealousy among men because of a woman” here! Even in the “underground” world where the criminals live, there could still be an unwritten rule: You shall not take advantage of my woman while I am not around. (Didn’t Matt locate and beat his ex-girlfriend (or ex-wife) at one time when he got out of jail?)
Wait, I must have missed the news. Why did they want to kill Joyce’s husband?
I read it somewhere in the news. It is said Joyce warned her husband about this about the time they got out. She must have learned of this plan from them. I think either she or her husband (or both) told the police about this plan.
Another plot might go like this: Matt delegated the job of seducing/controlling Joyce to Sweat after he himself could not do it anymore. When Joyce did not show up as their get-away driver, Matt might blame Sweat for his failure of completing the mission delegated to him. This could be a source of their conflicts also after their situation was getting worse and worse everyday. They might not be very skillful at surviving in the wild (black fries, etc.)
A LOT of speculation without any substantiation here.
Doesn’t matter. Speculation doesn’t hurt. Not a court of law here. It’s called the Parent Cafe.
I think murdering the husband was supposed to be because the lady was going to run off with the escapees.
I heard something on the news this morning that they heard Sweat last night but couldn’t see him. H did have to round up some SAT phones this morning and get them sent up to the command center for the Rangers. So even though they think they have him surrounded they must think it could still be several days or why ask for more equipment?
Mcat, I suggest you write crime story as a side job,
“Another plot might go like this: Matt delegated the job of seducing/controlling Joyce to Sweat after he himself could not do it anymore. I believe they have video of the two of them from a trail camera (hunters put them up to track deer) and both their DNA was in both of the cabins.
Sweat is either still alive and hunkered down under brush/branches or he committed suicide sometime after Matt was killed. He won’t be able to last very long if he’s alive as he’s completely surrounded and if he has any food or water it won’t last forever.
As a convicted killer of a law enforcement officer, I have my doubts as to whether he will be found surrendering rather than in a firefight.
HImom, I agree. I would be very surprised if he surrenders.
“They might not be very skillful at surviving in the wild (black fries, etc.)”
Maybe they took some of that hamburger with them and passed a McDonalds along the way?
If one of them burnt the fries that would surely bring every black fly buzzing by the border patrol and coming after them.
H just heard they from one of his guy that they shot Sweat. Don’t know if info has been released yet.
CNN says they shot him and he is in custody.
Yeah, I see. H made me turn on CNN.
Actually, CNN was slow on the take. I heard it from syracuse. com Comments and an east coast news source before national cable even heard it.
They probably knew but needed to confirm before going on air with it. Not the same criteria for people putting it out on tweets and local news. There is nothing wrong with CNN or other news organization waiting a few minutes before putting it out there.
Shot but not dead.
I didn’t say it was “wrong.” ???
^ That is what it sounded like to me because you said, “Actually, CNN was slow on the take.”
Actually, the correct idiom is, “slow on the uptake.”
