Clinton's Sniper Fire

I once thought I was under sniper fire, but then realized I was in a Starbucks buying a nonfat latte.

bz2010: I don’t think Obama is trying to sell himself as the candidate of experience. He is marketing himself as the candidate of optimism, hope, change, the future. Hillary is trying to separate herself from Obama by being the candidate of experience.

McCain should be careful about marketing himself too much on experience against Obama (if it is Obama). Obama will not try to compete on experience. He will just ask the American people to choose between the past and the future (codes for old versus the young). If the choice is put that way, most people will choose the future.

LOL parent2noles! The wooosh of the espresso machine fooled you huh?!

Many people who actually have been under accurate sniper fire woke up dead.

The security services would NEVER place a first lady in a place where there is any realistic chance of getting shot.

Yes, I nearly spilled my double tall non-fat latte. It was traumatic. I’m still scarred. ;)

I never write “lol”, but then again, until I run into something like that, I usually don’t “lol.” Cruel, but funny, P2N.

Sorry, I don’t mean to be mean, but it was a dumb gross exaggeration. Her handlers should have told her to stop it immediately.

Well, another one of the architects of the Good Friday agreement, Lord Trimble, had this to say about Hillary’s involvement:

"However, over the weekend Mr Trimble said she had been a “wee bit silly” for saying such.

The former Ulster Unionist leader and First Minister told the Daily Telegraph: "I don’t know there was much she did apart from accompanying (former President] Bill (Clinton] going around.

“She visited when things were happening, saw what was going on, she can certainly say it was part of her experience. I don’t want to rain on the thing for her, but being a cheerleader for something is slightly different from being a principal player,” he added.

Yeah, and he said he’d get the troops out of Iraq, but then if alQaeda established a base in Iraq, he’d send the troops back in.

In terms of what this does to her electability:

"A very specific thing about her and her name Clinton. It reminds a lot of voters of the thing that they didn’t like about her husband’s administration. He wasn’t a straight talker. That’s where John McCain came out in 2000 as the un-Clinton, because he ran a straight talk campaign.

What people remember about her husband’s administration, aside from the many good things that he accomplished, was that he was evasive, sometimes deceptive: “I didn’t inhale,” “it depends on what the meaning of ‘is’ is,” “I did not have sex with that woman.”

Well, he had a credibility problem from the very beginning and I think this reminds too many voters that she also is a Clinton"

Clinton told reporters in Gary, Indiana. “That was a covert ops midget sniper.”

Apparently, Obama is related to both Bush and Cheney now, too…

Where are we going with this stuff???..

And that would be a major step up from the “chicken****e” status she occupies in the minds of some voters…

You know what really got to me? Her retort that she would have left the church of Rev Wright. Yet she stood by a cheating and lying husband for how many years? I would sooner listen to numerous surmons of those whose opinions are different from mine than stand by a man with no integrity.

“Lord Trimble,”

It is still more than ZERO.

"And that would be a major step up from the “chicken****e” status she occupies in the minds of some voters…:

It seems that Obama groupies are hung up on a peripheral thing that happened 12 years ago. Most people can’t remember stuff that happened a year ago, let alone 12 years ago. It seems that In reality that has no meaning of what she brings on table. The groupies like to dismiss Mrs. Obama’s statement, her thesis, drug dealing, sitting there for 20 years and listening to hateful speeches. I believe the media and people should focus more on what kind of man is Obama. Is he a closet Black Panther? does he subscribe to Wright (I know he talked about that)? Can he really lead? (when going got tough he stayed ‘present’)? Does he really believe in the stuff he talks now (zero substance) or is he a masterful opportunistic politician? In Washington he was known as light weight and man of inaction. He does talk lot about will of people, but he effectively gutted the re-vote efforts in MI and FL.

fordiscussion: I do not like to judge people by who they associate with, marry, stay married to or who they choose as a pastor.

But I did think- wouldn’t it be just a stinging comeback if Michelle Obama were to come out and say something like “If it were me, I would not have stayed with my husband after all that lying and cheating”. Of course, Michelle would never say that.

Simba, did the groupies bring the Sniper story up … or did Hillary Clinton in her unending quest to establish credentials she does not have?

And, fwiw, I would hesitate bringing up the word thesis and Clinton in the same story. After all, isn’t her infamous contribution to the greatness of hyper-socialism almost as famous as her failed attempt to keep it away from prying eyes.

There should be a limit to reinventing herself to fit the story, and it’s usually called ethics or integrity.

If you were making your way from a plane to a car under sniper fire WITH YOUR ONLY CHILD WITH YOU, it doesn’t matter if it was 12 days ago, 12 months ago, or 12 years ago (or 50 years ago for that matter), you’d remember the details.

Best post of the day… thanks for the laugh!

“Michelle would never say that.”

Not in public she wouldn’t…but I bet she’s got a sister or best girlfriend who’s heard that zinger and more. I wish I could listen in. :)

^^^lmao, now that would be funny.

Hillary would probably cry though… so it will never happen.
