closest library to foothill dorms?

Can you guys please list the closest libraries to foothill? Walking a lot on a Saturday afternoon seems very unappealing to me…

thanks :)

I’m at Foothill, too, and I’ve been trying to find the closest ones…the Bechtel (sp?) Engineering Library has a study room, I think, along with a nice study area above the Engineering place, but that would only be good during the daytime xD There’s also a Statistics Library in the 1st or 2nd floor of Evans Hall.

Those are the only ones I’ve found/tried out, there are probably way more…? I’d love to hear of more, too

The Chemistry library in Hildebrand is also relatively close.

But the truth is, if you’re already going to walk to Evans, Bechtel, or Hildebrand anyway, then you might as well continue to Doe or Moffitt. It’s not really that much further, and those libraries offer a far broader set of services and are also usually open longer.

I agree with Sakky. Evans, especially, is right next to Doe…

10th floor evans is where it’s at. lounge :)

Take a look at it yourself, Priya

[UC Berkeley Campus Library Map](Wrong shelf. | UC Berkeley Library)

I guess by looking at that map, the 3 closest ones would be Engineering and Stat like I said, but also Physics, which I didn’t know about

But @sakky is right, once you actually get to Evans and those other ones, you may decide to just go ahead and walk to Doe/Bancroft. But if not, you can just use those 3 closest ones

You can go study at Soda Hall, the pretty green/turquoise Computer Science building on Hearst and Le Roy. It opens twenty four hour but after a certain time at night, you do need keycard access to get it (not to get out though). You get keycard access if you are a CS major or something, or know someone who is one.

It’s a pretty nice place to study if you are around northside in my opinion.
