OK, so I’m almost done with a bathroom remodel, and facing the fact that if I am “ever” going to upgrade the closet, it’s going to be now while everything is out.

Does anyone have any experience with the “Container Store” product system called Elfa? It looks great in the store. It’s really, really pricy. If you have used it, what worked and what didnt and would you do it again?

I LOVE Elfa! It is easy to install and the people at the Container Store know what they are doing. For several years when Elfa would go on the yearly sale for 30%, we would do a closet or garage. I have never seen my husband so happy to shop other than when we shop for Elfa; he is just amazed by the product.

Love it. Easy to move shelves around if your storage needs change.

Why is elfa better than the other systems??

I’ll echo comments above…love it! Very easy to install, Container store staff guide you thru everything, and usually 25 - 30% deals a few times a year. Can’t comment on other systems, since this was first I tried, happy with outcome and never felt need to try another. And yes…my H loves to shop/install this too.

Elfa is good, but when we bought our new (14 months old) house in TN we opted to get one of the closet companies to come out. It was expensive, but we have wooden shelves and compartments, drawers etc. It is really nice and definitely added value to our home. When we were in Dallas we were all about Elfa since the Container Store is a local Dallas company and very convenient.

I have Elfa stuff that I bought in Germany over 20 years ago - it certainly lasts forever! I’m not a big fan though of wire shelves despite the fact that I have them. They’ve got more options now though than they did then.

I think I have Elfa closets-- they were here when we bought the house. I eventually dumped all the wire baskets because they hurt my fingers.
