Yeah, Notre Dame is not that far from University Park Mall, but Grape Rd can be (or used to be a nightmare hence was nicknamed Grape Jam). If you can get to the airport in SB, you can take the South Shore Commuter train into downtown Chicago. Need I say more!

yeah like b’smom said, the ones in walking distance are not really helpful, but to get to the “mall” in West Lebanon, you either can take a 10 min drive with your friend or 30 min one by the bus cuz they make so many diff stops. Anywho, at the “mall”, there’s like TJ maxx, walmart, payless, kmart, sports - something and i think that’s about it i only know this cuz i visited like twice

As someone mentioned, Santa Clara University is close to lots of shopping areas, and a quick bus ride to Valley Fair Mall and Santana Row shopping areas. Valley Fair is huge, and in combination with Santana Row across the street, has every possible chain store you could think of.

There is also a shuttle to Cal Train, which is the same Cal Train that goes by Stanford. So you could take it to Stanford Mall, HillsDale, several shopping districts in Burlingame, San Mateo, Redwood City, as well as all the way to San Francisco.

In Hanover, in addition to the Talbots and the other stores mentioned, there is the Gap, some boutiques (Bella, Juliana, Rosey Jekes all high end and high priced) I would not even recommend Boston for shopping as I found them to be very limited (I know jaded NYC person comment but it is the truth). D just shopped when she got home or as I stated earlier, in this day and age, there is nothing that you cannot get on-line (where she did a lot of shopping).

The interstate is only a mile from Davidson’s campus(exit 30).Plenty of mall action exits both north and south.Charlotte’s just down the road.
Notre Dame is only a mile or so from the exit on I-80.I remember seeing pretty nice stores at a mall the next exit east of ND (about eight miles).Chicago is only an hour and a half west of ND.Getting to and from there from ND is easy.

there’s an american apparel near Pomona if you like that sort of thing?
