<p>I don’t even think freshmen are allowed to enter the lottery for parking spaces.</p>
<p>You could park in Schenley Park, but expect to have some damage done to your car during the course of the year (and possibly get a ticket or two that you don’t see coming).</p>
<p>If you want to have a car at CMU your best bet is to move off campus second year and get a street parking permit from the city of Pittsburgh. They’re only $20 for the whole year. You can also try getting into CMU’s South Oakland Apartments since anyone living there is eligible for a Pittsburgh parking permit.</p>
