I have recently been accepted to CMUs MISM-BIDA and Columbias MSOR (concentration in business analytics) programs. I am writing to find out how the programs compare from employers perspectives. I am currently interested in a consulting career and would like to know which program would improve my chances in securing a job after graduation. From a few web searches, I have come to realize that CMU tends to fair better in the IT sector, while Columbia seems to be the better choice for a career in finance. Is this true? Some assistance would be much appreciated. I need to provide Columbia with a decision by 29 March so Im on a bit of a deadline.
