cmu or usc for ms in biomedical engineering?

hey!

I have got admit for masters in biomedical engineering 2010 from both usc and cmu. Cmu has a relatively younger department but almost everyone i know got admitted into usc (ie. he is giving off admits like toffees). I know that has nothing to do with the department rankings or education. But am just confused. Could anybody out here help me with this?

USC is a lot bigger campus with a much bigger class. Hence, more admits. I’d wager that the percentage of applicants admitted is probably about the same at both schools, but CMU’s program will be a great deal smaller and more intimate feeling, whereas USC has very large labs and a wide, diverse class.

@anjanak- What was ur profile for getting into CMU BME? Like GRE / GRE Quant score etc. Is it tough to get into this program?

I am planning to apply for CMU MS Biomedical Engineering with a GRE score of 1180 (700 quant). Should I give it again?

Kindly help me out.

Thanks
