co-op experience: specialize or variety?

<p>I already have a pretty good idea of what I’d like to do after graduation, but should I aim for co-op jobs and RA positions specifically in what I’d like to do or should I go for a variety of research areas and industries? </p>

<p>BTW I’m interested in biotech/pharma/medical devices.</p>

<p>I would go for specialization if you know you can get in. You can do variety later on. If you can grab the opportunity to specialize in what you’ve been wanting to do, then go grab it.</p>
