Coaches talking to your coach

I play football by the way,

I’m assuming all college coaches will sooner or later call your coach?

Will college coach stop recruiting you if high school coach doesn’t have a great review about you?

By great I mean “He’s the heart and soul of the team, I can count on him for anything, best kid I’ve coached in 10 years”

What if your high school coach plays a lot of favorites and you’re not one of them. Not because of anything you’ve done and not because you’ve had any negative interactions or anything…just not being one of his favorites. Not having anything against you, but not being in love with you despite ability and what you actually do on the field.

My coach is one of these guys, we have nothing against each other…but he’s not the type to stick his head out and go making calls and stuff for me. I don’t mind that, I just don’t want a coach to call him and stop recruiting me because he didn’t give raving reviews, but didn’t give bad ones either. Not worried about anything such as character or work ethic, just his overall review.

Will this greatly affect recruitment?

I don’t know a lot about this, but my feeling is that in college a football coach will recruit based on size and stats. If those are in line, as long as the coach doesn’t paint you as a major attitude problem - it won’t matter.
