I hope I haven’t started a thread on this before. :)

I’m a one cup of coffee a morning person. I’m gonna put a little sugar and some creamer in it - don’t try and talk me out of it, it’s my morning pleasure!

Forget the powdered creamer. I find many of the regular creamers have a real artificial flavor to me - some almost a metallic flavor. Blech. I will use regular half and half but do enjoy something with a little flavor. I had found one I liked - La Creme - it was a natural/organic brand but the store I bought it at stopped carrying it. More recently I tried Coffeemate “natural bliss” French vanilla and it was decent. The other day, that was gone from the store too!

Curious if anyone else gets that “metallic” taste and/or what your favorite brand or flavor of creamer is.

I use real half and half only. I buy whatever organic brand is cheapest-want to avoid the BGH. That La Creme sounds good! And absolutely enjoy your sugar and creamer–one cup of that a day can’t be bad! :)

All the creamers taste so nasty to me, that I only use real stuff. If you want a change from dairy products, check out the soy/almond/rice/etc. options at the supermarket. You might find one that works for you.

First choice is half and half. A recently diagnosed dairy allergy has persuaded me to prefer soy creamer. But really, I miss the half and half.
No sugar. And no fake creamer chemical stuff!

At home, a generous amount of 2% just hits the spot. For work I’ve started buying Silk creamer. All the fake flavors, tend to disgust me, including the Silk French Vanilla. Tried the Trader Joe’s, and is not as good as Silk.

All the artificial creamers at one point were filled with transfats. Not sure what is in them these days.

OP: have you tried sweetened condensed milk? It’s creamer & sugar rolled into one. This is my new favorite. I don’t use it every day but as an occasional treat.

Yep. 64 ounce cartons. That’s thirty-two 2 ounce servings (for a large mug of coffee). The stuff has a shelf life of over a month.

My attitude is that making my coffee really good fresh ground beans and half and half is enough of a treat that it keeps me from eating a lot of junk that would be far worse. Coffee and some half and half isn’t horrible from a diet and nutrition standpoint. It[s nearly all fat and protein.

Hate the flavored creamers. Too sweet. I use fat free half and half at home but the real stuff at the coffee shop. For my cap machine we use nonfat. It actually foams better.
