Colbert SuperPAC

<p>I am a huge fan of The Colbert Report (tickets to a taping next week!!!) and have been watching the show for years.</p>

<p>For those who don’t watch: Colbert formed his own political action committee, and has been raising funds so he can make funny commercials about the candidates.</p>

<p>In line with the upcoming Iowa events, he’s made a commercial encouraging voters not to vote for Rick Perry (TX) but instead for Rick PArry. </p>

<p>I think it’s funny, and anyone who’s half paying attention should be able to tell it’s a farce, but some people seem to think it’s problematic and will confuse voters/screw up poll results.</p>

<p>Any thoughts on the ethical component of one of Colbert’s most genius ideas yet?</p>

<p>Depends on when he is playing it. I know who he is and what he does. If the commercial is on comedy central, no problem. If the commercial is on the main networks at 5-7pm time period, there are many that may misunderstand the intent. Many over the age of 65…</p>
