I am a huge fan of The Colbert Report (tickets to a taping next week!!!) and have been watching the show for years.

For those who don’t watch: Colbert formed his own political action committee, and has been raising funds so he can make funny commercials about the candidates.

In line with the upcoming Iowa events, he’s made a commercial encouraging voters not to vote for Rick Perry (TX) but instead for Rick PArry.

I think it’s funny, and anyone who’s half paying attention should be able to tell it’s a farce, but some people seem to think it’s problematic and will confuse voters/screw up poll results.

Any thoughts on the ethical component of one of Colbert’s most genius ideas yet?
