I received the student conversation invite from two students, a sophomore and a senior. Should I just join a session with one of them or both?
I would do both ā 2 different people, two different experiences. The perspectives, as one is still closer to the beginning and the other closer to the end, may also be informative.

So my daughter never received a āconnect with a current studentā email. Not in regular or spam email. I assume this is a bad sign.
She did get the other apply for scholarships email that everyone received
I do not think its a bad sign. Almost everyone got it and a few didnāt, some even got it twice. I believe it was assigned randomly so dont fret

My daughter didnāt receive that email either. People say they donāt mean much but with her not getting any of these emails (except the scholarship ones) has me worried.
Colby was the 5th school she visited at the time (Bowdoin, Bates, Tufts, and BU were the others on that trip) and was completely sold that she didnāt even apply to the others. Since that trip in summer of 2022 (was between her sophomore and junior years) some others schools have made it up to Colby status level but Colby is her first love. Missing some of these emails makes me think she isnāt considered. But who knows
The one about scholarship interests? Yes, we did. I think it may be a way for them to track ongoing interest. ?

D24 received an email informing her she could submit any noteworthy updates to her application and linked an optional form. She is going to use it as an opportunity to provide an update on her senior year capstone project.

One other thingā¦if your D has any meaningful updates since applying, she should just reach out to the AO anyway with the update! At that time she can express again that Colby is her top choice. The AOās are obviously still reviewing applications and accepting new information. It canāt hurt and it shows continued interest.

Good idea. I do know she reached out to the regional rep for Colby down here in North Carolina a few weeks ago but I donāt know what the conversation was about. Iāll have to ask. I do know the rep responded back, which was nice.

I heard that the additional info form is for waitlists and people that are on the edge of rejection or admission. But is you got the email that spoke about a specific scholars program it means thier is a high chance you got in
D got an email asking what her interests would be ie athletics, outdoor activities, service, etc. She thinks it was same questions in original app. It just asked for top three āinterestsā. Seemed to me they just wanted to see who clicks through.
