Coldplay Concert

Still in the clouds from our Coldplay concert we attended last night in Chicago- feel like I shared a once in a lifetime concert with 20,000 of my closest friends! SO awesome! Can’t stop talking about it! So I thought I’d check here and see if anyone on CC has attended this years concert to chat/discuss!

For just one day, I would love to be Chris Martin enjoying life and music out on that stage. His energy and passion is contagious in a purely delightful way!

I went a few weeks ago. It was a great concert! The music was awesome and I loved the wrist lights.

Love live music!

Loved, loved, loved it! I agree that Chris Martin has a playfulness and joyfulness that is both electric and contagious. My daughter and I saw this concert and the Rolling Stones seven years ago when she was 13. I think that Chris Martin was more exciting than even the great Mick! Mick was number one in my book for 40 years, but I am rethinking his position.

Altogether awesome!

We had heard about the bracelets but the effect was awesome! Wish I could make mine light up again (my non-tech mind has no idea how they work!)

How was the crowd interaction at your concerts? Did people stand from the beginning? We were a little frustrated with our section that people must wanted to sit- the music was so electric it was made for standing!!! Once they played Viva people stood and stood from then on. We got our share of dancing in our spot then! :)

My daughter and her boyfriend went last night and have been raving about it all day. She took some pictures and although I’m sure they don’t do the concert justice, the lights and beach balls looked fabulous.

We were on our feet for most of the concert. The crowd was very involved. Lots of singing and dancing. Did they have a stage in the audience at your venue? They were pretty close to us when they came out to the audience stage. The wristbands must have been tied into Coldplay’s system. I don’t think they’ll work on their own. They asked us to give them back.

D was at the Boston concert last week. She was on air for a couple of days!

She has her bracelet!

S1 went Friday night. Said it was the BEST concert he was ever at. He loved the bracelets and said that everyone had a great time. Wished he could go again! :)

So cool. I don’t really listen to Coldplay but Viva La Vida is probably one of my favorite songs of all time.

Yes our concert had the mini-stage that they came back to for a few songs …what a great bonus for those people !

They did ask you to “recycle” the bracelets but we just figured it was a choice instead of throwing them in the trash- but we all wanted them for keeps!!!

Favorite songs/performances…I can’t pick one…but one song that had on ever been my favorite became a favorite - Fix You…the crowd was crazy into it!

I took my son and his girlfriend to see Coldplay three years ago for his 16th birthday. It was awesome. I wanted to go this year, but couldn’t find any takers. I agree about Chris Martin! I never really thought Mick Jagger was all that and goodness, he’s starting to look pretty old now.
Our whole family went together last Friday night in Nj; stood the entire concert; so much fun!!!

Gwyneth and the kids were in the audience; Chris ran out to give them a hug and kiss in the middle of one song (can’t remember which one)…

Loved the bracelets and the inflatables…really cool…

For those of us around the NYC area you’ll understand: I literally cried during Fix You…

Yes, saw them this year at the Hollywood Bowl! Magical night. Did you all get glow wrist bands that pulsed to the music? That was a trip!

Kind of sorry I passed it up when my my daughters went a few weeks ago…it was my youngest’s first concert. I went to see them a few years ago and loved them , but i hear that concert was nothing compared to this tour …My niece went to the Boston show and she and her friend got bumped into the second row because of the t-shirts they made ! Apparently , Chris Martin loves to show the love to his outstanding fans :)
