Yes I bet they did. D’s note included a quote from one of her recommendations. Kind of fun to see that since it’s part of the app we all never get to see.
Thanks. Now comes the hard part. Colgate, Bucknell, Case, or Holy Cross???
the easiest question yet… Go 'gate 100%!
such a nice touch on Colgate’s part.
Completely different environments but all great choices !
I think everyone gets a personalized written note. I actually used the note and stickers the school sent to decorate her graduation party table. I placed the note, stickers and other Colgate stuff in a big picture frame.
Each of my daughter’s friends went to Bucknell and Holy Cross. But since my D belongs to Class of 2023, I say Go 'gate!!! lol
Anyone know how to deny your offer of the waitlist. I accepted it originally but I have decided to deny the offer and now I can’t figure out how to do it lol.
Colgate released its acceptance rate for this year: 17.2%. As with most colleges, I’d interpret this as preliminary.
OMG, I got interviewed by the writer of that article and she used my quotes about how the pandemic affected the college application process!
I hope we get one!
From my son’s waitlist letter:
If, at any point, you no longer wish to remain on our waiting list, simply email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will withdraw your application. Until then, we strongly recommend securing a spot at another institution to make sure you have a plan in place for next fall.
Colgate is stunning.
More importantly (and impressive) is they do everything SO, SO well with utmost attention to detail. Our next door neighbor has/had kids at ND, Vandy and Colgate - they continually RAVE about the experience their daughter has @ Colgate … compared to other fine institutions, it is right up there !
I love seeing the campus all year round. It’s just so beautiful.
call the admissions office - they are so nice and will either take care of it for you or walk you through it
