Did anyone receive an IDOC request? My kid’s heart is set on Colgate, but they are the only school that accepts IDOC that doesn’t show up in IDOC website as having requested documents.. (She wanted to apply ED but we’re very low income so chose not to… and now are pretty scared/worried.)
We didn’t get a request from them either. I don’t think it means anything because S25 received requests from schools where they were rejected and ones where they were accepted. They just may not request as a matter or routine and simply download what is there and request if they need anything additional.

Son waitlisted, really wants to go to Colgate top choice. any advice what can do to try to get in?
Probably just the obvious. First, see what the school says about what you can/should do. Do everything they say you can do. Just as importantly, don’t do the things they say not to do. Your son will definitely write a letter of continued interest. Try to make it well written and personal. I think he can also include anything that has changed since he applied. So, if your son has had significantly better grades or won any awards, include it in the letter. That’s probably all you can do and then it’s just the waiting game.
I have a kid that was waitlisted at another LAC (and a kid at Colgate). I’d suggest that you/your son be ready to make a quick decision should you get a call or email from Colgate. They aren’t going to want to give you more than a couple days to decide.
