I’ve recently been accepted to Brandeis University, Colgate University and College of the Holy Cross. Of the three I’ve been accepted to I’m leaning towards Colgate University.
I’ve also been offered a guaranteed transfer spot at Cornell University the following year.
As of now I’m planning on attending Colgate for one year and then transfer to Cornell next year.
I need a 3.5 cumulative gpa ( getting at least a B in every class) after taking the following classes:

Calculus (I & ( II or statistics)

Chemistry ( I & II ) with labs

Biology ( full year with labs)

Two College Writing/English Composition courses or one writing/composition and Public
Speaking

Colgate is know for their grade deflation but how difficult would it be to get a 3.5 gpa just my freshmen year just in these introductory classes?
I could easily get a 4.0 at the local community college in my town, but I want to be prepared for Cornell University’s rigor as well in later years.

Any kind of advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
