@ITBgirl very true. If I get in to state I will probably at least tour it one more time before I make a decision, but if not, then it will be be Elon. My mom wants me to wait to hear back from W again, but my dad and I have pretty much come to the conclusion that it will be Elon.
Hopefully we have a final answer this weekend.

Fantastic to hear of all your successes. A personal anecdote: While I know that you are leaning heavily towards Elon, I would agree with your mom advising you to at least wait to hear back from UNCW before sending any deposits in. Despite the fact that I wanted to commit to UNCW as soon as I got my acceptance letter last January, my parents made me wait till I heard back from all of my reach schools before I officially confirmed my destination, just in case of any surprising acceptance/merit awards. Just a thought.
Congrats on CofC and UNCC! I’d personally pick CofC over Elon, but I guess we just have different tastes. 
In any case, I’m also hoping UNCW (obviously) and NCSU go your way as well. Fingers crossed!!
In my opinion, if you are pursuing the best academics, then Elon is a much better choice than UNCW or any UNC school besides Chapel Hill, especially if you make it into one of the Fellows programs.
@karlmarx2020 ehh. Elon is certainly a great school, better than most schools with the “UNC” prefix, but to say that it’s “much better” than UNCW is more than a bit of a stretch. In fact, I’d contend the opposite; we’re just a little bit better than Elon (but both are 4 stars, so the difference is marginal). What’s your rationale for saying that Elon is much better than UNCW? But I do concur that he should certainly choose Elon if he gets the Fellows Scholarship.
@LBad96 Considering your self described “fact based opinion” ranking system and a rather curious thread devoted to it, I will not engage in debate with you on which school is better. It seems to have proven fruitless to all of the other folks that have engaged you in similar discussion on the other threads, and I simply wanted to state my opinion. Enjoy your day.

I honestly couldn’t really care less, but I’m sorta suprised. I guess considering I applied late, didn’t show any interest at all, and really didn’t put much effort in to my application it makes sense.
Hopefully NC State tomorrow can turn the tide on the rejection streak that’s starting.
Well seems state decisions are out early…rejected.
Looks like I’ll be paying my Elon deposit when I get home tonight.
@ntk131998 sorry about UNC and State, I know how it feels as I was also rejected from both. But congratulations on Elon! You have clearly worked very hard and I’m sure you’ll succeed there!
@LBad96 not to start an argument, but I have to agree with @karlmarx2020. I understand you’re not from north carolina and go to UNCW so your opinion makes sense, but growing up in North Carolina, I can tell you that Elon is seen as more prestigious than UNCW. If you asked most people to rank the schools in the NC, it would go something like this:
Duke
Davidson
Wake Forest
UNCCH
NCSU
Elon
UNCW
App St.
UNCA
etc.
Dang man, three denials in a row has to hurt. I went through that last year myself. However, don’t be discouraged, as you have received fantastic results already. Huge congrats on Elon - it’s the best fit for you and that’s all that matters in the end.
ETA: how you feel about Wofford is EXACTLY how I felt about Clark University last year when that school denied me.
Elon is an AMAZING school. I’ve been following quietly. I’m really happy this has worked out for you. You were very smart in the diversity of schools you applied to. You clearly did your research. All students should use this as an example. CONGRATS!
Thank you everyone for your kind words! I’m incredibly excited to say that I have paid my deposit and will be attending Elon as a member of the class of 2020!! I started this thread as a way to think aloud, as well as with hope that future students could benefit. All of your advice has been incredible and has helped me reach this point. Yay!!! How does it feel? The stress of application process is officially over. Now comes the fun stuff! Like looking for a roommate, choosing your dorm, shopping, booking tickets, and making new friends

@CaliCash thank you!! It feels great to be done. All of my best friends had been done for months (ED, committed athletes, etc) so it’s nice to finally be able to join them in relaxation hahah. I’m looking for a roommate and ordering some merch as well. I’ll probably be driving up for the accepted students day in a couple of weeks, hoping to meet some future classmates.
Congrats on a decision made! I agree with other posters that you did a great job of applying to a variety of schools. My neighbor only applied to UNC and NCSU and now is scrambling to apply to some others.
I think Elon is a great fit for you. Thanks for sharing your journey.
Just wanted to share a quick update, post decision:
I toured UNCC on Friday to appease my mother. After that, she finally relented and has gotten on board with my dad and I.
I was supposed to go to Elon today to maroon Monday but it snowed and iced around here last night and my parents didn’t want me driving over there by self, so I ended up just staying in town.
Also, one of my best friends has decided to attend also! We aren’t going to be roommates, but I’m excited to have him on campus with me.
Speaking of roommates, I have found one! We are mutual friends so I’m excited to get to know some more people.
