I am a junior in highschool right now
i want to get into a good UC school i.e Berkley, LA, SD
right now my stats are as listed
GPA 3.8
SAT: 2200
SAT: Math II 720, Chinese 800
class rank 25
community service: 125 hrs

this year i am taking 4 AP courses
i have the extra curricular stuff down: varsity badminton, academic decathlon
president of clubs etc…

what are my chance of actually getting into a UC next yr?

Hmmm, in the UC system, isn’t using applicant’s ethnicity to determine whether the applicant’s score is impressive or not against California’s Proposition 209? Hating an applicant’s test score because he or she was ethnically advantaged seems to be just that.

That said, I too am not really impressed with the Chinese score since he or she’s Chinese; seems like a cheap way to meet the requirement of taking two SAT II tests.

As for AP courses, what courses you are taking in the senior year will be factored in when your application is reviewed. However, what grades you will get in senior year will not be a factor unless you earn a D or/and accumulate a GPA of less than 3.0.
