<p>I’m applying to Southern Connecticut State as a transfer student.</p>
<p>It asks for
"Any special academic recognition, honors or prizes you have won: " in high school. Since I am a transfer student I do not submit SAT or any high school transcripts or anything.</p>
<p>All I did in HS was Spanish Honor Society, Softball, and Cross Country, really. Average 3.2 grades and worked a lot.</p>
<p>Should I put any of this in that box?
Will it help my chances? Or is that stuff nothing special.
I was only in SHS for about 2 years. Do I have to mention how long?</p>
<p>I know I am very late in applying but I’m hoping they have a lil room for me. Do you think I have a chance at getting in also? I screwed up my first semesters but did well this year with a 3.6 but my cum is 2.88. Got my AS as well</p>
<p>Ok nevermind that first part. But basically these little boxes like “brief biographical statement” It doesn’t really ask a specific question so do I just talk about myself? Do I have to make one of those stories to make it interesting like comparing my life to a passion or object?</p>
<p>Might as well put in those high school awards if there’s the box for it; it’s not going to hurt you anyway.</p>
<p>As for boxes like “Brief biographical statement”, you want to make yourself standout (in a good way) Instead of writing a very cut and dry “My name is hypnoticx3c, and I like to cook, clean, and sew” try to make it more lively; that might mean focusing on one or two aspects of your personality and interests, rather than trying to do a sweeping overview of everything you are involved in.</p>
