What the qualifies as an extra circulars activity? I’ve been out of school for over 10 years and have no clue what to put down. Any suggestions?
I used my volunteer and community/political activities. I also had a few related to my community college, but I think you could even use hobbies, although most adcoms are looking for community involvement and leadership activities.
So would that be things like Special Olympics from 6 years ago, various community service projects while in the military, Awards for leadership while in the military?
Special Olympics - Yes
Community Service Projects - possibly, depends on if you did them as part of your job or on the side
Leadership awards - probably not
Is there a way you can submit an extended resume with your application? That would be the best place to put your awards and community service projects while in the military, since they are (likely) employment related rather than a true EC.
