Fortunately I have been recruited by a few D1 schools and several D3 and D2 schools for swimming. I would absolutely love to swim in college but also am focused on life after college, and would like to go pre-med during college. I realize that both athletics and pre-med courses can be very time consuming. Regaurdless they can be successfuly balanced, right? And can you do well in both school and your sport during college?

Myron Rolle did it and he played arguably the most time consuming sport at college and got a Rhodes Scholarship to boot.

At least 4 and maybe 5 people in my class of 150+ were high level D1 swimmers – 2 were Olympic level though they were either alternates or got screwed by the US boycott.

You have to be very aware of time management and need the drive to do both well though honestly those qualities I never found lacking in most of the competitive swimmers I knew – you just hated having those folks in your grade curved class b/c you were never going to outwork them.

yes
yes, with a lot of hard work.
