Apparently money is a lure which cannot be resisted, even if you’re a former NBA star whom presumably earned several million dollars during a 10+ year NBA career. Chuck Person has been indicted. He’s an assistant coach at Auburn, his alma mater. I am getting closer to the thought that there is no reform to be done in big-time NCAA athletics. The schools involved here (as of yet unnamed) may have no direct blame in this latest event of bad behavior, but the schools’ are certainly complicit in the hunt for money in college sports today.
