College Best For Finance Degree

I am considering transferring so I can major in finance. The schools I wanted to compare to find out which is the best one in terms of pay and job opportunity are Montclair State, Kean , Thomas Edison State, William Patterson, New Jersey City, and TCNJ. They all seem to offer Business Administration degrees in finance. Rank them in terms of pay and job opportunity and tell me if you know anyone who graduated from any of these schools with any type of business degree and what their starting salary was including bonuses. This is really important I find this information out because transfer applications are going to be due soon so I really need to make a decision. Thanks

I can’t do all of your research on all of these schools for you because I don’t know anyone who graduated from any of these because I have never heard of any of them until I read this post.

If you are expecting any of these to have noticeably good finance placement, think again. Just go to the cheapest one so you don’t waste any more money than you have to and work hard.

Trivia:

I played football at Monclair State College.

I was the former head of Morgan Stanley’s Global Proprietary Credit Group.

I lost $10 Billion on the single biggest trade loss in the history of Wall Street.

Who am I?

Howard Hubler

WallStreetOasis–just happened to be on the front page.

Like openedskittles said, I’ve never heard of a single school on that list. I’d go with the campus you like best and cheapest overall option. Also, it may be useful to check each school’s career placement through their career service office.

Ok none of these schools are better than the other

But I thought TCNJ was a good school if anyone knows any information about its business program please say something.

I know Rutgers New Brunswick has a very good business school but I am not able to get in there. How about Rutgers Newark business school, is this better for finance than any of those schools on my original list posted at the top of this thread? If it is does it make that much of a difference in the job market than those other schools I have listed?

i don’t know any of these schools. If you really want to do Finance, go to Wharton, Stern, or Uchicago.

A finance degree from not well known colleges will not be useful at all. There is no competition from the thousands of kids who graduate Stern, Wharton, etc. with a finance degree.

The 2 posts above me are utter BS and they are probably high school kids if anything.

agree.
(10-char)

Go with the cheapest one. Don’t have super high expectations like IBanking. Just get a degree, get a job, and work hard. Maybe you’ll be able to get an MBA from a top 10 school someday.

Goldman recruited TCNJ for back office. Not sure if the others were on there but TCNJ definitely was.
