Does the college board automatically send you an email if you have missing documents in your CSS profile?
The only thing the profile does is gather information and sends that information to the school. You are ultimately responsible for ensuring that if you need financial aid that you have submitted the information needed by each school.
Delays in submitting information can delay your getting processed for or even receiving aid (incomplete apps are usually not processed ). Check and double check to make sure you have submitted all of the information.
No. the college board does not send reminders.
There are no documents “in” your CSS Profile. The Profile itself is just a single form that collects information. That being said, a school may request the submission of documents, such as tax returns and W-2s, that support and supplement the data in Profile, and these documents may need to be submitted through IDOC or some other specified way.
For some reason I forgot to submit my CSS profile and college board sent me an email reminding me to do it?
Disregard the “?” Above
Probably because you started the Profile, and saved it…and never submitted…that’s why you got an email.
Okay, thanks!
