College Board Rant Thread

Please use this thread to share if you have ever felt personally victimized by College Board. For example…

I’m in the class of 2017 and of course it had to be the guinea pig year for the new PSAT. There is nothing rational about testing the new format on the only standardized test that can’t be retaken and is very high-stakes for some people because of national merit.

I understand your frustration, though it isn’t really you personally that is being victimized by Collegeboard - it’s all high school juniors, nationwide. So they’re all in the same boat. You won’t be the only one unfamiliar with what to expect.

The College Board ruined my chances for National Merit Scholar by making its test exactly like the ACT. Why not buy the ACT if you’re so worried about competition CB?

Why push back the PSAT score release date to January 7? Why administer the test in the first place if you can’t even make a scale for the test CB?

Why release the new SAT in the middle of the flipping school year and create a deadly situation for high school juniors? I have a life, you know. I didn’t sign up to give up my social life and study for the SAT the beginning of my junior year.

Stop being so goddang cheap and create some new practice tests for your new study guide instead of releasing the same tests you gave for free to Khan Academy.

Release some goddang subject tests for me to study. Do you see colleges not providing any sort of study guide for their honors/final exams?

Stop recycling your dang tests. You’re turning the SAT into a test where the rich have a tactical advantage over the poor in Asia.

A non profit organization paying a salary of more than $300,000 to nine of its executives. Pretty excessive when you consider how poor the work of the CB is. For example, the extra 5 minutes given to a 20 minute section last June.

Ultimately, College Board, kill yourself. The world will be better without you. I would’ve taken the ACT if I didn’t start studying for the SAT in 8th grade.

As if studying for the new SAT wasn’t hard enough with one official book and 4 practices tests(same tests on CB and Khan Academy…smh). I wanted to use my PSAT to study my weaknesses. If I take the March one, I would have had about 4 months to study, and now it’s down to 3. CB announced the new SAT two years ago and still messed up big time. Why release half way through the year too? I can’t believe such a poorly run company produces the test that can ruin my chances at a good school.

I guess this isn’t so much CB’s fault as it is mine lol…but the CR section is so hard! When I was studying for the SAT, I would never get less than six questions wrong in a single test.

I can’t believe CB believed that if you used Khan Academy to study for the PSAT, you would be completely prepared. Seriously??? What about all the people who don’t have regular internet access???

I took june SAT and they screwed up the score lol. It probably caused my score to be lower. That’s ok because I got my test waived for October due to college board mistake.m Although it’s really obvious how collegeboard was trying to be ultrasecretive about the compensation. I fortunately sent my scores out while they were free so I was able to have my school receive my scores on time. However I heard those that tried to submit last minute had missed college deadlines. I wish they’d make math harder for SAT 1 though so it tests your ability to solve hard problems rather than your ability to not make mistakes. The writing section was a failure. I hate critical reading and its inherent liberal bias. So far that’s been my experience with collegeboard.

Hahahahahahha! Hahaha! Hah. Ha. Hm.

@DDOuser truuuuuu

lmao collegeboard is a mess
