The college board has recently instated some scholarships given for folks who complete tasks such as studying for the SAT, doing 5 hrs of practice, etc. Does anyone know if the “improve your score” scholarship means that any PSAT can be improved to the SAT? I got a 1330 my Soph year and a 1480 this year on the PSAT.
I seriously doubt I’ll be able to raise my score 100 points if I’m at 1480 out of 1520 at the moment. I’m wondering if the 100+ applies to only the latest PSAT. Thanks all!
Information over the past several years indicates that the College Board has more than $1 billion in assets, and has paid its CEO well over $1 million in annual compensation. This for a “non-profit” that could arguably be considered a monopoly in a number of different areas, while charging a multitude of high fees for services that many students have no choice but to pay.
Hope they give fee waivers to anyone doing these additional tests to improve scores. Otherwise…this is just another way for the CB to gobble up your money…because there is NO guarantee your score will increase enough to get one of these awards.
