College Boot Camps?

I am trying to persuade my child’s public school district (26k+ students) to offer a college boot camp. I am hoping to offer specifics based on ideas from similarly-sized districts, going on the willingness of posters to help me.

If your public school district offers a college boot camp:
–When is it offered? In the weeks before the school year begins? Spring of Junior year? August/September of Senior year? (Thinking of EA/ED deadlines)
–Is it offered evenings, weekends, some other time?
–Who teaches it? Teachers/counselors already under contract with the district? Outside vendors?
–If a fee is charged to students, how much is it?
–What is the length of the camp in hours or days?

Thank you to all who are willing to help. I am hoping this idea will not die on the vine in my school district.

What exactly are you hoping to offer? I’ve heard of some schools in Seattle offering application boot camps or workshops on scholarships.

D’s school is running a boot camp this week for three days and will take the kids to tour local colleges each day, where they will get to speak with admissions people. Back at the school, they’ll work on applications, get information about scholarships, financial aid, finding the right fit, and so on. This is offered free to all juniors and seniors, and run by an intern who is a Master’s candidate at one of these colleges. We are a school with a large number of first-gen and low-income kids so it will be very useful for many of them.

More on the “back at school” part of your description is what I’m hoping for.
Defining EA/ED (and the risks and benefits of both), college interview practice, application essays, Common App stuff, and the like. Our school also has a high number of first-gen and low-income students, along with students whose parents never looked at schools outside of our state.
