College Bridge Program - FREE?????????

I’ve been looking into various programs and i stumbled upon this: [url=http://www.scs.northwestern.edu/summernu/programs/college_bridge.cfm]College Bridge Program - Summer Session at Northwestern University/url It seems that you can take college courses for credit…for free! But, it also specifies that it is for CHicago Public Schools, so does that mean that if I am in the suburbs, i cannot apply? Has anyone done this program before???

Need more info/feedback please!

The website spells it out pretty clearly:

"To be considered for the College Bridge Program, students must be rising Chicago public high school seniors with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. Application requirements include a personal statement, a letter of recommendation from a high school counselor, and a high school transcript. Interested students should request an application from their high school’s College Bridge Program counselor. "

If you don’t attend a Chicago Public School (CPS school district), then you don’t qualify for the program. I am assuming your suburban school is not part of CPS – so you don’t qualify.

Well you said that you are in the suburbs, that gives us absolutely no information about your school.

If you go to a Chicago Public High School then you can go. You know if you go to a CPS High School. I don’t know. You should be able to answer that question for yourself.

If your question is whether your residency in the suburbs disqualifies you, then no it does not. You don’t qualify if you don’t go to a Chicago Public School. It is not based on where you live.
