College Buildings Under Construction

One of my favorite things about higher education is how each college has a distinctive architectual flair. You have the ivy and stone of Princeton, the Spanish red-roofs at Flagler, and the Greek pillars of Virginia.

Sadly, much of the new “modern/postmodern” construction going on at colleges seems bland…it looks like my high school. Instead of looking like this:

They look like this:

Recently, however, I discovered Miami Ohio was building a new business school that looks awesome!

With this and the new hall in Princeton that just opened, Whitman College:

Perhaps there is a hope that we are experiencing a return to the neogothic, Greek, and southern architectural styles we have horribly abandoned.

This thread is for anyone who would like to report exciting new construction at a college.

right angles are for squares

(is all i have to say when it comes to architecture)

“right” you are.
