I am currently a sophomore at Holt High School in Holt, Michigan. My high school doesn’t weigh our gpa’s so right now i have a 3.86 gpa. It will definitely be higher than that by the year I graduate. I am the president of the Key Club at my High School. I will be in NHS. I play football and run track for my High School. I play basketball for my high school just to stay in shape for my other sports. I know I probably want to major in Business Administration or a major like it (depending on the college). I would definitely like to go to a college that has a nice ranking in the college rankings for the US. I like colleges that are not huge, but not extremely small, a nice sized college. I wouldn’t want all of my classes to be full of students, an average class size that is less than 50 students would be nice. I’m a social person, so it’d be nice to be around people who are also social. I definitely don’t want to be at a school that is known for just partying because my education is important to me. It would be good to get a scholarship. I need lots of help in my search for the right college/university for me. My mom said that this summer we will be taking a college road trip across the country, and I need to make a list of all of the colleges i want to attend. In no particular order… 1.) I need to know what would be a good minor for me. 2.) I don’t know what colleges I want to put on my list, so please help me decide what colleges I should visit 3.) Is there any colleges i could get a full ride scholarship to, if so, how? 4.) Will I need to get involved in more things to get to a good college or is what I do enough 5.) any other information you have to offer. Thank you for reading

Thank You happymomof1, that helped. Can anybody help on the other questions?

Maybe before a national trip you should start with the fine schools in your state: Hope, Albion, Kalamazoo College, and the state schools. And please don’t let “national rankings” guide you; study up on why those rankings are misleading and find places where you will best learn and grow.

^ To add to those ideas, your end result depends more on your effort and involvement than the school. You need to ask your parents how much they can afford for college.
