College Chances Why Ask?

If you have looked at all the people that have asked about their college chances, you will notice a trend, based on their numbers they are either really smart, or clearly not Stanford level. Their is never a person that seems on the cusp of admission.

I mean sure, even if you have perfect numbers, you are not guarantied a spot, but what is the point of asking. You know you have the numbers to get in from their it just depends on the mood of the admissions counselor at that moment in time.

You do not have to depress the rest of us with average numbers Stanford accepts with, do i have any chance, when you have a 2370 on your SAT, and 3 sat 2’s with scores raging from 790-800. And plus you are president the world.

If you are that good, you know your chances, don’t put the rest of us down. All of us are hoping to get in tomorrow.

P.S. what are my chances, i got a 2400 on the SAT, and i am an eagle scout and president of the school.

insecurities. everyone has 'em

I don’t blame people who are asking–everyone’s nervous right now and it’s only natural that they want to hear others’ opinions. But, at the same time, if you’re applying SCEA, you’ll know tomorrow anyway and listening to the opinions of a few people on this board won’t help.
