Below is my schedule from freshman to junior year. I’m currently in my junior year and just past the halfway point of the first semester it’s looking like I’ll be able to maintain straight A’s. With my class schedule throughout high school that will be below,combined with an hopeful 28-33 act score, do I have a shot at schools such as:USD,USC,Michigan,Wisconsin,UC Berkeley,UCLA,UC Santa Cruz,Cal Poly (Slo),SDSU,Boston College,Indiana,MSU,Texas,Colorado,Colorado State (In no order with Indiana, Wisconsin,USC, and maybe Michigan as top choices.)I hope to study business,I’m also a Varsity basketball player, will have over 225 hours of community service(one big reason for this is I tutor kids at my school that are struggling in school and need to bring their grades up., and I also have helped out at a local elementary school along with an assortment of other activities) I’m on the Varsity Mock Trial Team, and I also have lead freshman orientation, just as a few examples of other activities. I will be ranked in the top 5-10% maybe higher of an intercity California school with over 2,000 kids total and 595 in my grade alone.Below is my schedule and grades.Thank you all for your help.

What is your unweighted GPA?
2.9 freshman year, 4.0 sophomore and 4.0 junior, average is 3.6333 for all three years
Nobody really cares about +/- grades and most colleges just go with the GPA on your transcript. I calculated your UC GPA and its a 4.0 UW and a 4.35W and Capped depending on your ACT or SAT scores you seem to be a match for UCLA and UCB. Good job!
For Cali State Schools:
Safety:
UCSC, UCM, UCR,
Low Match:
UCD, UCSB, UCI, Cal Poly SLO
Match:
UCB, UCLA., UCSD
Assuming you get the average ACT at UCLA or UCB this is where you would stand.
Other schools will be rough on you because of your poor freshman year, so I recommend you go to the UC/CSU route as your freshman grades will really mess you up. If you get anywhere from a 32-34 on the ACT this is where you stand.
Judging by your username seems like you want to go to a UC/CSU so yeah gg m8.
That is how its calculated @Sterny16
Also my UC Gpa will be an 4.35 (Capped at 4.0) Berkeley Rep told me they don’t consider freshman grades in their GPA’s at all only what classes you took
UC’s do not use 9th grades in their GPA calculation but will review your Freshman grades to make sure you passed any a-g course requirements. Other schools will look at all 3 years and having a significant upward grade trend will be helpful. Until you have some actual test scores and your final GPA at end of Junior year, there is really no way to speculate on your chances. Continue to do well, get some competitive scores on the ACT and repost this summer.
Also ask your parents about your college budget. You have some OOS schools on your list and you need to find out if these schools are affordable. There is a Net Price calculator for each school, so run the numbers with your parents.
@UChopeful69 Read my updated message.
@Gumbymom Thank you! Out of state tuition shouldn’t be an issue! Thank you
@UChopeful69 Also I am not to sure about the private schools/colleges OOS because I am really only familiar with UC/CSU’s (tons of family members go to them lol). UCLA/UCB I have as matches, but nothing is a sure thing with these two schools but with your GPA being above average for both these schools it def. helps out. If I am you I would do the UC or CSU route as you can most likely get into much better schools here anyway because of your high UC/CSU GPA, then you could anywhere else, not only that it will be cheaper and with you wanting to do business I can only assume you are going to get an MBA and it will be much easier for your parents to pay for that with all the money saved from a UC/CSU school.
@Sterny16 Very true thank you
Update, ended first semester with straight A’s
