College Class 2018

Yeah, I think it’s also perceived difficulty of major. Although, at my school, pretty much all my friends think their major is hard. But then again like 95% of my friends are STEM.

Finished up my finals and did really well; I got a 98 in both Nutrition and Anatomy, and a 100 in Greek mythology. I accidentally skipped my soc final-got the dates missed up-but she let me make it up and is docking it one letter grade, which is so generous of her. I think I can count on a B on that one!

^Congrats! Glad you could make it up–I’m always TERRIFIED of missing tests.

A story to make you all feel better at the expense of my misfortune:

Today, Preamble skipped her very first class. It was the last class of the semester and was just a sort of “clean up” session from the previous lesson, so I thought, hey, no harm done. It was a beautiful day and I wanted to wander around Boston with my friends yada yada yada. As I am boarding the train, I bump right into the professor who’s class I am in the process of skipping – and this isn’t a huge lecture hall where I’m anonymous… This professor knows me by name and everything. Terrible. Just terrible.

Moral of the story:
Skipping. Not even once.

Actual moral of the story:
Preamble has literally the worst luck.

That’s rough! It’ll only be kind of awkward!

Got all bs this semester

Major: math ( once I transfer it will be mathematics and meteorology)
College: community college

Any suggestions on pre-calc?

Me last week:

Me right now:
Awake at 4:30am in the library because I don’t want to oversleep my 10:30am final. I need help.

@Vctory - I had to take two finals yesterday back to back with a pretty serious cold and I was terrified of falling asleep during the exam itself lol.

@preamble1776 @Vctory lol when do you two even get off for summer break? I’ve been home for two weeks, and final grades were posted a week ago.

@Violet1996 – LOL, my last final is this Friday. I get out later because I started later – my first day of class was like January 27th, I think. I don’t think grades will be posted for another two weeks though.

I finished my finals last week and I’m still waiting for grades. Of course it’s my borderline grades that are taking the longest… I’m getting so impatient!

I got a B+, a B and 3 A’s grand total of 3.68- that’s been my average for the last 3 semesters

Just finished my last final and moved out today! No clue how I did. Hoping for all A’s, but I might get an A- in one of my classes…goodbye 4.0.

DID NOT GET THE A-! STILL HAVE THE 4.0!

Sweet, congrats! Apparently 4.0s are notoriously difficult to come by at my school, but this semester I came pretty close. All A’s except one A minus. Though I contribute that to mostly freshman luck and pretty easygoing professors. Like half of them gave extensions on major projects/essays. I don’t know how I would have survived otherwise.

The mythical 4.0. I know it exists somewhere at my school, just nowhere close to me.

Lol several of my friends pulled off a 4.0. I’ve gotten a 3.94 the past two semesters. The annoying thing is my sophomore/junior level CS and math classes aren’t the problem; Fall semester I got an A- in my freshman seminar on film music (taught by my advisor) and this semester I got an A- in music theory, which I was the prof’s favorite in and the one that everyone asked for help (oops).

I’m worried about my courses for fall semester though. Music theory (class 2) is at the same time as a CS class I have to take, so I’m taking a musicology course instead to stay on track with my music requirements. I’m really bad with essays and I know music history courses are heavily essay based. I’m just hoping I don’t get swamped with my other classes too.

I’m glad I’m done with freshman classes. Most of them were a huge waste of time.

It’s been almost a month since I started summer vacation, and I still have three months to go. I’ve actually been thinking about my classes for the fall. I’m looking forward to the next semester.

@dextrous, some of my freshman classes were a waste, too. I can’t wait to be done with the gen eds.
