College Class of 2017

@Niquii: Gasp. Integration by parts, series?!?!? Try surviving a day skipping Calc 2 and in the engineering field. I hope you enjoy the very competitive medical field :wink:
As long as I enjoy what I love doing in engineering, I get to kick back and watch others that aspire to be doctors face the trials that they will :slight_smile: [and those that want to go into engineering despite lacking the mathematical ability and potential]

So does this mean the bet’s off?

@tangentline…what? There are so many things I could say that mainly because I don’t find the humor in your post.

I’m still getting my degree in chemical engineering.

So no, Descuff…the bet is still on.

I see.:what::rolleyes::what:

I hope I don’t get this bitter when I become your guys’ age.

Bitter for/at???

If anything we’re the most excited group on CC right now.

@Niquii: Chem E. Fine, as long as you’re not going into medical which I thought you were. So, go ahead, take Calc II and learn the rather important parts that were missed. I just sometimes don’t know what to say about others that want to go into engineering yet lack the math ability (remedial math students or the like–Edit: this is not you)

Another engineer pre-med I see? ;)

As well, for the doctor/surgeon to be’s, I was talking about the generic person that I often doubt will follow through / turn out less than expected once they see what they’re getting into. You’re on this website and are probably a top student, so I can’t say something like that. But I know some people well enough to have some insight on how their studies are going to end up.

That still gives you no right to discourage people…

Just because someone doesn’t immediately grasp calculus like you doesn’t mean they can never be a successful engineer/doctor/whatever.

Curious you mention you know people well enough to see where they’re headed…

Just scratch everything I said in this thread which shouldn’t have.
I probably said enough to make people quite angry. (which I have deleted)
So sorry, and I understand where I can get myself with this attitude.

@Descuff, a little pride there, but another flaw of myself.

What really the scores are out!?
I know i failed Stats so why even check :confused: i have to take Cal | anyways

Sent from my C5155 using CC

Got a 4 on English, so now I have to take an English class (if I got a 3 I’d have to take 2, 5 none). Ugh. But there’s one class I’d be pretty interested in taking, so it’s not so bad.

4 on Biology, which is totally crazy because I had no idea what I was doing on the FRQs.
3 on Calc AB, also surprising because I didn’t study and left parts of questions totally blank.
5 on Comparative Government. Expected. Easy test.

|/Fireworks
/|\Woohoo!!

just saw you deleted your comment so I will as well.

@yankeesfanatic:
Thanks.
And there really is something about trying out a major first if you don’t mind me saying this.

I agree with this. I personally giggle to myself a little whenever I hear a junior in high school wants to become a neurosurgeon and they haven’t even seen a word of organic chemistry yet. But at the same time I admire their ambition and would never discourage them.

Niquii, I was innocently looking through Class of 2017 groups on fb, and I think I found Alexisss!

You probably didn’t find my group
