<p>Can you tell me which colleges in the West have the best classics departments?</p>

<p>UC Berkeley and UCLA both have amazing classics departments, and they’re also much smaller than other departments within the school, meaning more attention while stll have rediculous resources.</p>

<p>Altough good in classics, it doesn’t give a thorough education in it. It does give a great education, and as to literature, a great general one, but the classics stop towards the beginning of the second year.</p>

<p>Reed’s department is small, but said to be very good. But if you are looking for richer curricula offerings, more professorial choices, and more research opportunities, Berkeley really is your place.</p>
