My current california community college has no accelerated courses at hand, and I’m about 12-16 months away from fulfilling the IGETC. Is it possible to take accelerated classes along with my full time courses to finish earlier without becoming overwhelmed? Are there alternatives to this approach?
You need to speak with your advisor about this to find out if doing so will get you to the IGTEC sooner. Then you have to get realistic about how many credits you really can carry successfully without damaging your GPA. Not everyone can juggle more than 15 credits a term.
There are plenty of options. This last semester I took 3 late start courses on top of my 4 full semester classes. I’m also taking Winter classes (lasting for the month of January) at Coastline College, all of which are online.
