College Courses in High School

Anyone here taken courses at a university while in high school? If so, how many did you take, and how much work was each one? I am thinking of taking political science courses throughout the summer, and the first term of next year. This includes 1st year and 3rd year courses (non have pre-reqs).

This is actually rather common among top applicants.
However, start with ONE course. University courses are very fast-paced, and summer classes even more so. (For example, a HS AP class takes places 5 times a week over 9 to 10 months. The SAME amount of content, sometimes more, is covered in 14 weeks with 2h30-3h per week. You cover roughly one month of HS material in one week in the normal term, and in the summer term you cover one month of HS material over about 2 days. The amount of homework is much greater also.)
Once you’ve proven yourself :), you can take one or even two college classes as part of PSEO or dual enrollment (meaning you don’t have to pay anything except for books).
