I applied to College du Leman for my senior year ( a bit late in August ) . They called me back after considering my application to tell me I got in , I asked them about financial aid , which I already had previously since I can only pay 15.000 of 880000 and they told me to not worry about that they will call me back . Problem is I haven’t heard from them in three days and school is just about to start and I have also received an offer from Leysin which asked me to apply . Also living in Italy I have an university fund of 40000 to pay my tution to an American University so said that I use 15000 of the fund to pay the boarding school and that I will apply for need based aid at university is it worth to go or will I just be wasting money ?

Unless there is a severe problem w your present school, why would u bother switching school in SENIOR year during university application season?

If u have 40k EUR now just sitting there in cash, why would any boarding school give u financial aid?

They are way more expensive than 40k their fees are up to 100 000 k . Besides my current school is very bad and wouldn’t help me at all with my college applications , they don’t even speak english and we all know teachers reccomendations are important .

If you are starting senior year, applications start now, and recommendations come from teachers who know you already. Many colleges offer Italian as a language and would have faculty members who could translate the letters for admissions. It wouldn’t hurt to contact admissions and ask about letters from other countries to see what their policy is.
