I recently submitted my apps, and after a while I realized that in one of my essays I had made a big mistake. So this essay was about your intellectual interests and I spoke about ‘Freakonomics’ and nominative determinism, which is basically a theory that says that a persons name influences their socioeconomic future.

Now in my essay, instead of “NOMINATIVE”, I’ve written “NORMATIVE” determinism.

I know this is a huge mistake, but I was a few hours away from the deadline was freaking out anyway.

Please can someone tell me what to do? Should I contact the college and maybe let them know? Or do you think the admissions officers will take what I say at face value and not bother searching up on nominative determinism, since it is a relatively new concept and not many people are aware of it… PLEASE SUGGEST! THANK YOU in advance.
