i recently realized i had mistakenly put the word “eradicate” instead of “irradiate” on the first sentence of my college essay, almost changing the meaning of the sentence completely. i was wondering if essay wording mistakes like these would lower my chances of getting accepted or worst?
Nothing you can do about it now. Best not to worry
I’m sure it happens a lot. For example, in one of my essays, I put in “filling” instead of “fill”. It’s just one small mistake. I seriously doubt a wrong word will make or break an entire application.
