View from my seat with friends. Michigan played a horrible game but somehow pulled it out. This month off doesnât bode well for them.
Congrats, Huskies. See you next week.
An entire season of the Huskies winning that way. It is really bad for my heart haha
I thought maybe their luck had ran out. Instead they scraped by again, luckily.
Two great games today and got the results I was hoping for.
Now go get 'em Huskies!
Boy, we played like crap (and Penix played great!), but it still came down to the last play. Amazing.
My neighbor is a Husky Alumni. He and his wife are going to the game. Maybe I should ask him to take down his Husky flag on his house before he goes?
So much energy at yesterdayâs game, and so many Michigan fans at todayâs FloatFest.
Edit to add that I said they should have plucked out Alabama and Texas.
I watched the highlights of both semi-final games. Alabamaâs last play failed because the QB tripped over one of his players (#65), although I donât know if he would have scored.
Iâm not sure if #65 of Alabama tripped Milroe or not, but #65 is a 360 lb O lineman that completely blown up and back by #5 of Michigan, Josaiah Stewart, on that play.
Now IF Milroe would have taken a running route more to the left, but to the right of #0 of Michigan, DB Mike Sainristil, who was blizing on that play, then Milroe may have scored.
Instead, Milroe ran up the middle and into the teeth of the D.
Good news for Michigan and Washington fans. National Championship tickets prices have been nose diving in price since Monday night⊠over 60% off.
Gameâs in Houston, right? So no nearby Bama or Texas fans = price drop.
It looked to me that the Michigan DT blew up the Bama OL, and Milroe did indeed trip on/run into that lineman. Biggest play of the game, and the Michigan D line stood on its head like it has basically all year.
Now they are tasked with knocking Penix around or at least making him uncomfortable.
Overall, neither team was particularly sharp: Michigan with its special teams gaffes and Alabamaâs bad snaps.
But in the end, Michigan was better in the trenches, and it saved them.
Also, it looked to me like the snap was low on the last play for Alabama which may throw off the timing a bit. Still, kudos to the Michigan defense.
Alabamaâs center had a particularly bad game. I think Alabamaâs first series (I think it was the first oneâŠ), when Michigan sacked Milroe twice for big losses, might have gotten into his head. That Michigan DL was just awesome.
And the 3 timeouts in a row, before the â4th and 3â play and final play, may have âicedâ Milroe, Saban and Bamaâs OC.
It is a National Championship game. Alabama traveled north when it was in Indianapolis a few years ago.
My prediction is that Washington will win. Their QB is fantastic.
