And just like that there’s articles about how much it will cost to fire Sarkisian…it’s crazy how things change minute to minute…plus, speculation Sark wants to go to the NFL.

Anyone who wants to fire Sark is an idiot.
He addressed the NFL rumors in the postgame press conference. i’m sure he’ll make that jump at some point.

Including his $10.8 million salary this season, Sarkisian’s contract pays him $75.8 million through the 2031 season. As part of his new deal, not only did he get a pay bump but his buyout jumped from 70% of what he was owed to 85%, which is a significant and important change. That meant coming into this season his buyout jumped to $64.4 million, and if they decided to fire him during the year

My ND alum H is enjoying Brian Kelly’s failure at LSU (not that he holds a grudge 
). Of course Brian Kelly will be laughing all the way to the bank.

Sounds like LSU is on the hook for something in the neighborhood of $52 million for him not to coach (and then needing to pay another guy a generous amount on top of that). The coaching money is getting stupid. These schools are going to end up with their own Bobby Bonilla days . . .

I think some of these are just sports writers speculating. I read one that said CU will get rid of Coach Prime. Nope. Don’t want to pay him out even though it is just 2 years left, and they aren’t losing money yet.
And we’ve had a lot of losing seasons in the past. Ah yes, the 1-10 Chuck Fairbanks years (which I can’t talk about at family dinners since the quarterback from that year is now an in-law).
It’s not every day that Chuck Fairbanks gets a mention! I see LSU did pull the plug on Brian Kelly — on paper they owe him $54mm but they may be able to negotiate less. Regardless it’s going to be a ridiculous sum to pay someone for not doing a job.

If Brian Kelley wants to continue coaching, a settlement may be in his best interest as any new coaching salary would probably offset the payout due to his dismissal.
That’s true. If he doesn’t care about coaching again, LSU is going to be up against the wall as he’ll have very little reason to settle.

We were at our cabin and I couldn’t get on any websites. But I could text, so I asked my friend to find out the score. Yay!
Well we have 4 tickets for the Michigan /Northwestern game the day before my son’s wedding who went there. But they’re starting this game at 11:00 am central time. There is a shul service for them on this day that goes to noon then a luncheon. The Rabbi told us just to leave after they say the blessings to the couple (big sports fan lol). But the games are like 3 hours so should be able to at least go for most of the second half? I will wear my Michigan shirt underneath my suit. Lol. Can change there not an issue. A 3:00pm game would of been perfect.
As an aside of n the day of his wedding Sunday the 16 th at 4:00pm. We have a pull down screen and I have a front projector from our home theater. I am taking a computer with computer speakers and watching the Bears game in “The grooms “room. It ends at 3:00pm so perfect timing. Lol. Sometimes you got to make stuff work.

UNC basketball fan here. So ready for this football season with horribly embarrassing unseemly hire of Bellichick to be over — just not The Carolina Way. What happened tonight at the Smith Center between UNC and Kansas mens basketball teams, however, that was The Carolina Way! Go Heels!
