College Help

Before I get to what’s on my mind I first want to say congrats to the college class of 2024! Admissions may or may not have worked out for you as much as you may have liked, and regardless you will go on to accomplish incredible things. More particularly, this has been a challenging time and you all have done your best. Kudos to you.

As I have just wrapped up my college admissions journey, I have explored my college’s extracurricular opportunities to a great extent and I am curious about how to plan ahead. There is much I wish to participate in, but I don’t want to overwhelm myself with activities freshman year and perform poorly in college right off the bat. With that being said what number of ECs should one be involved in freshman year that allows the student to be very involved, but also perform very well in class and not feel overwhelmed? This number will obviously vary per person and their ability to perform and handle stress, but based off of your experiences or information, what do you think?

Thank you for reading my post!
