<p>Hi, I would like to know about the college application process, because I don’t have a clue about what to do, I will be graduating from high school in June 2011, my English is not very good because I have been in the US. for 3 years only, I moved from Iraq, I would like to know what are the certain things i need to do for college applying, my top choice is Rice University, I’m already aware of the fact that it is a very long shot for me especially, due to the English barrier, I was not able to achieve best results, so do you thing that I have a chance in getting to these colleges Rice and other colleges, like University of Texas, and Texas A&M, my class rank is not that high 148 of 797, top 18%, GPA(unweighted):3.74, have been taking all honor classes since sophomore year, (could not freshman year was still new), All AP and IB courses, I have more than 500 hours of community service, and I’m the Vice president of the my School National Honor Society, also I’m in various clubs like interact, Robotics, others, also part of the schools Choir and Piano teams.</p>
